How it gets signed
1Choose «Use this template», fill in the fields and review the full DJ contract.
2Send it by WhatsApp or email. The other party opens the link on their phone without an account.
3They tap the brown bar at the bottom that says «Sign as …» and draw their signature once.
4Everyone gets the signed PDF with its signature certificate. Anyone can check it at signsolu.com/verificar.
The signing screen tells each signer that signing means agreeing to sign electronically. It links to the electronic signature disclosure that the ESIGN Act asks for.
What you get once everyone signs
The signed PDF. The final DJ contract with every drawn signature in place.
The signature certificate. It lists each signer and the date and time of each signature.
A record you can check. The folio on the certificate opens the document history at signsolu.com/verificar.
Reminders. Turn them on and SignSolú reminds every signer who has not signed yet.
Your first ten documents are free and need no card.
What the law says
A DJ booking is a service contract under state law. The cancellation and deposit clauses are what courts read first when an event is called off.
Public performance licenses for music are usually arranged by the venue or the event organizer. Ask the venue who holds them, especially for private estates and outdoor spaces.
The ESIGN Act, 15 U.S.C. 7001 gives an electronic signature the same legal effect as one on paper. A contract cannot be denied effect only because it was signed electronically.
Holding the date
Popular dates book months ahead. The deposit and the signed contract are what hold the date for the client.
Send the contract with the quote. The client signs from their phone and pays the deposit the same day.
Until both arrive, the date stays open. Say so in your quote so nobody assumes a booking that was never confirmed.
Wedding DJ details to add
Weddings need a timeline. Add the entrance, first dance, toasts, cake cutting and last song with their times.
Ask for the pronunciation of names the MC will announce. Write them phonetically in the attached timeline.
Working with the venue
Call the venue coordinator two weeks before. Confirm load-in time, power, sound limits and the end time for amplified music.
Some venues need the DJ's insurance certificate. Send it with the signed contract to avoid surprises on the day.
Common mistakes
No end time. Write it, plus the overtime rate, so the last hour is not a negotiation.
No power check. One shared outlet can trip mid-dance. Clause 7 asks for grounded outlets.
No replacement promise. Clients trust a DJ who commits to a backup if they fall ill.
Example of a wedding booking
A couple books a DJ for a reception from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm at a barn venue. The fee is USD 1,600 with a USD 400 deposit.
The contract includes the sound system, a wireless microphone and dance floor lights. Overtime costs USD 200 per hour.
The couple sends a must-play list two weeks before. The DJ confirms power and sound limits with the venue coordinator.
Everyone signs from their phones the day of the quote, and the date is held.
Corporate and private parties
Company events often need an invoice to a business and a certificate of insurance. Add the company as the client and send the certificate with the contract.
Private parties at home need a noise check. Confirm local quiet hours and set the end time in clause 2 to match.
For outdoor events, the cover in clause 7 protects the equipment from rain and direct sun.
Bring a printed copy of the signed contract to the event. The venue coordinator may ask to see the agreed end time and setup area.
